Ardent built an innovative market research reporting automation tool for a leading market research unicorn that deals with an exponential amount of market research data.
Our client are a global market research company focusing on data science and analytics for some of the biggest brands in the world, from a range of industries including entertainment and sport. They provide their clients with reports and insights on marketing performance to help them make the right marketing investment decisions.
Our client were using Tableau as the main reporting tool that they used for both internal reports and their end customers. They provided their end clients with the reports curated in Tableau. Although Tableau is an incredible tool with a number of benefits, it had limitations for our client's requirements. Firstly, due to the subscription and licensing model, it was becoming increasingly costly for our client. Secondly, the major challenge the client faced was that the tool involved a lot of manual work, from preparing data to sending it. They required an intelligent, user-friendly reporting tool that would take the data inputted and provide meaningful insights by visually presenting the data through graphs and charts.
Ardent built a market research data automation reporting tool for our client that created reports from large sets of complex data. Ardent's data engineers ensured that the reporting tool is built using leading technologies such as Amazon Athena, Lambda, S3 and many others to ensure scalability as our client collect a mammoth amount of market research data from a wide variety of sources.
Our client deal with vast volumes of varied data, that is presented in excel, therefore, Ardent’s highly skilled engineers have built software that detects the data and pulls it into the reporting tool to produce easy-to-understand, user-friendly graphs and charts. The tool is used by our client and their end customer, so a user-friendly user interface that correlated with the client’s brand to ensure brand consistency was key.
Our client have found several benefits from this tool both internally within their business and teams and externally with their customers. First of all, they were able to streamline and automate their data reporting processes, helping them significantly reduce their reporting time enabling them to save time and resources. Secondly, they also saved substantial licensing costs. Thirdly, our clients can now also offer their customers a quick turnaround time on reporting, to make well-informed decisions and access these reports on an easy-to-use platform with clear and concise reports.
