Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company that has been running for over five decades. Based in the UK, the company supplies to several food manufacturing and food services companies in the UK as well as internationally.
Working with the technology of choice
The client required an HR onboarding and performance management system built using the Microsoft Power Platform. They wanted to be able to streamline their HR processes from recruitment to onboarding to improve efficiency. At Ardent, we make technology recommendations, however, our client specifically required the software system to be built using the powerful tools offered by Microsoft as part of the Power Platform.
Enhancing employee experience
Ardent provided a streamlined onboarding process by automating the new starter communication to measure onboarding success with an intelligent performance management system. Surveys can be set and sent at regular intervals to gain consistent feedback, helping ensure new hires are fully engaged. Beyond onboarding, Power Platform has been used across the entire HR function to drive efficiencies including leave requests requiring workflow and approvals by managers. With Power Platform request forms are sent, captured, and tracked from any web-enabled device. Power BI is used to spot trends for benchmarking and management reporting, providing managers with a single source of truth.
As part of the performance management, all employees can view their assigned objectives and actions which can be updated. The employee can request new training, which is routed to the managers for review and approval. Dashboards are provided for the HR management to view team or member-based insights using the Power BI platform.
Improved communication and happier employees
Our client experienced a significant improvement in efficiency as they were able to save time and resources and increase productivity. They were also able to provide a better communication process for their employees through the new HR system.
At Ardent we have worked with the Power Platform to deliver a number of powerful solutions to our clients. We use Power BI to unlock insights and intelligence, Power Apps to convert that intelligence into action through transformative applications built quickly and Power Automate to make business process orchestration an easy point-and-click exercise.
If you are looking to leverage Microsoft’s Power Platform technologies for your next project, get in touch and our highly skilled engineers will be on hand to help.
